Source Hierarchy and Spec Identification

Marketplace sellers often list incomplete, duplicated, or contradictory parameters for drone components. Our editorial process applies a structured reference hierarchy:

Tier 1: Developer Protocols

Open firmware project tables (e.g., Betaflight targets, ExpressLRS requirements, open schematics).

Tier 2: Manufacturer Datasheets

Component pinout diagrams, flight controller wiring charts, and factory voltage ratings.

Tier 3: Seller Advertised

Package contents, included cables, and delivery bundles quoted directly from retail item pages.

Corrections Standard

Firmware targets, hardware revisions, and connector wiring diagrams change over manufacturing runs. When a discrepancy between manufacturer documentation and our published matrices is identified, technical tables are updated directly with clear modification notes regarding the affected hardware revision.
