Component Analysis & Gear Breakdowns
Evaluation Criteria

Review Policy

How we compare multirotor equipment, analyze compatibility, and disclose our technical boundaries.

Evidence Limitation: Product comparisons on FPV Wireframe are conducted exclusively via specification research and schematic analysis. We do not conduct physical flight bench testing, destructive airframe testing, or claims of proprietary laboratory measurements.

Comparison Framework

Components are evaluated strictly on architectural fit, interoperability, and documentation clarity across four dimensions:

Protocol MatchRadio link support (ELRS, Crossfire) and telemetry return channels.
Video EcosystemVoltage, UART, and goggle optics support across Analog and Digital HD setups.
Physical AssemblyMounting patterns (e.g., 20x20 vs 30.5x30.5), motor stator sizing, and weight envelopes.
Package ClarityDistinction between bare boards, complete wiring harnesses, and plug-and-play kits.

No Arbitrary Scores

We do not assign arbitrary rating numbers (e.g., '9.8/10') or ungrounded 'Editor's Choice' badges. Recommendations are framed around specific use-case logic: indoor micro builds versus outdoor freestyle platforms, budget constraints, and modular versus all-in-one component choices.
